HORSEBACK RIDING IN TAKHINI VALLEY

1-Day Excursion
We’ll pick you up at your hotel in Whitehorse and drive the scenic Alaska and Klondike Highway to the “SIR North Country Ranch” on the banks of the Takhini River. Here you’ll be introduced to the friendly horses and your guides Rolf & Ingrid will take you on a leisurely trail ride into the pristine Pilot Mountain area.

Enjoy this unique way of traveling through Yukon’s backcountry and experience how the Gold seekers of 1898 (Those, who were fortunate enough to have a horse!) felt on their way to Dawson City. Watch for wildlife or sit back and enjoy the view as you feast on a delicious lunch. As well, energizing snacks will be provided.

You may see bald eagles, Moose and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Again and again the forest will open up and offer breathtaking vistas into the Takhini Valley and the, surrounding mountains.
